Mipha rushed over after hearing the call. She kneels down on the opposite side of Red and checks Revali over. "This wound is unusual..." She holds her hand over it, hoping she might be able heal it. She can feel the darkness in it.

"But I will do what I can to help him recover. For now, everyone is to stay on the ship. No more scouting in the waters or the air. What do we know?" She got right down to business in the middle of her attempt to heal Revali. Her tone was cold, but purposeful. She didn't wish to see anyone else harmed under her watch and was hoping to develop a counter-offensive soon.

Irina kneels down next to Revali, holding his arm for support. She is quiet but clearly very concerned.

Revali began to sit up, looking at his wound beginning to close up. He smirks at Irina. "Oh, don't you start worrying over me. I've felt worse." He nods his head in the direction of the healing. Once some feeling began to return, he starts to move his wing and check its strength. That should be good enough. "Alright, I think I can take it from here." He stands to his feet and looks around.

"So, no leaving the ship? That's just not going to do. I can't be grounded and my best work is up there, anyway." He addresses Mipha as he heads away from the group to check out the crowssbows that were just loaded up. "Not really my style, but I suppose it _is_ a bow," he states echoing Red's sentiments earlier.

Grabbing hold of one, he gets familiar with its feel and motion. While holding it he walks around, hopping up casually onto the railing and faces the group. "And besides, my plans always work," he aims the crossbow at the center of where the crew was standing. With a pull of the trigger, he fires the explosive bolt directly at the group.

Revali's physical wound heals with no issue. Despite being a more or less point blank blow from an arrow, the wound itself was fairly trivial. There is also no trace of the arrow, just some minor flesh damage under his feathers and traces of blood that has already dried.

Fred was quiet, watching with empathy from afar as Revali was being tended to. When he saw the healer's magic go to work, he had sighed with relief and began to munch on a red apple that he must have had on him.

When Revali gets up he watches him with the crossbow and smiles, happy to see the warrior on his feet again. He steps out to him about to offer some advice, “The trick to these contraptions is to…” but as soon as Revali releases the bolt he takes the brunt of the attack, screaming as the explosion sends him flying into the air.

The rest of the party is blasted away and the ship’s store of gunpowder ignites, severely compromising the upper decks.

Link flies into the air with the explosion. He isn’t sure what has happened, he just feels the air then intense heat, then he is deep in the water, barely conscious.

It takes several moments before he even reacts, then he begins to float to the surface, watching the massive explosion from under the waves.

Maybe Irina is used to Revali shooting without thinking, and maybe that is why her instinct is to jump into the water as soon as the crossbow is aimed at the group.

The explosion catches her in mid air and she is thrown farther away and into the water. When she emerges, she widens her eyes in horror at the ship in flames and frantically looks around for her friends.

"Felt worse? More like done worse..." Red muttered to himself. He steps away once Blue gets back onto his feet to give him some space. "As much as I'd like to stay grounded, I agree with myself. Ground or skies, usually it's the latter where we belong. I know you're concerned, but we should still play into our strengths," he states to Mipha, sharing the same sensibilities as his other half.

"Now that you're back, we should head out together so there's no chance of--" Unable to finish the sentence on account of the explosion, he's thrown away by the blast and arcs in the air coming back down in the water.

"I don't want to keep you from the sky and that isn't my intention. I am keeping everyone together to minimize unnecessary risk." Mipha explained to Revali. "We already have crew missing and I don't want anymore, including us, to end up that way too." She watched him walk over to the recently loaded weapons and acquaint himself with one.

"Those are available to anyone that knows how to use one. I'm hoping they'll be useful for our predicament." She shared a soft smile, one glad to see him back on his feet and fussing in his usual way, but it quickly faded and was replaced with dread. She aimed her trident down at the deck and sent a jet of water from it to clear away from the area of the explosion just as it struck.

The force of it pushed against her, but she was able to right herself and dive into the water, escaping from injury.

Link sees his friends appear above him, one by one, like drops of ink in the water’s surface. Irina. Fred. Red. Mipha.

An animal instinct takes over and he swims up to the surface slowly, powering through the pain that he can barely feel due to the shock he is feeling. He also doesn't hear anything from the explosion. He sees Fred floating down unconscious and he scoops him up, taking him to the surface. From there he looks around dumbfounded and overcome by disbelief. Revali was reckless but this seemed almost intentional.

At the time of the explosion, Kala was, luckily, relatively far from the group. Still, it sends her flying away from the ship and into the water, mostly unharmed but stunned.

Revali cleared away from the explosion easily enough, having taken flight no sooner than he'd launched the bolt. With the ship compromised, he begins searching the waters to find crew to pick off one by one.

"I need a report up here!" He called out, hoping for a response to narrow down a target. "Anyone?!"

_Gatu was forcefully rendered unconscious from the explosion of the ship's gunpowder being accidently ignited by gods-knows-what, having been blasted and flung high through the air and landed several feet away in the water with a hard splash. He was close enough to where the blast that he was burnt and dealt second-degree burns to 19% of the left side of his face. The left sleeve and bracer of his tunic was basically destroyed, and clung to him barely by just a few meager ribbons. His left arm was sporting a baker's dozen of first and second degree since he was looking towards the right when the explosion happened._

_The young man bobs and floats up and down in the cold water, which helped ease the burns that felt were biting into him, and slowly comes back to consciousness. Everything hurt and stung, his hearing was shot; with the only sounds he could hear was deafening ringing and the thrum of his heartbeat. He manages to swim over with his right arm to a half-burnt floating board, and grunts as he pulls his upper half onto it, but too tired to pull his lower half up onto it._

_Revali or Redvali could probably see him down here from up in the air, or Mipha if she landed in the water like many of the others no doubt who were thrown off the boat violently..._
